Vista Dvd Usb

My Laptop don't have a DVD/CD Drive...Install Vista using external USB DVD Drive?
Hi my laptop does not come wih a built in DVD/CD Drive. I want to install vista fresh install, but I cannot boot as my laptop does not support USB booting, I have an external USB DVD Drive, and tried many boot images and USB drivers. None of them work. Also my laptop does not support Floppy booting, basically no optical media, but I CAN boot from SD card.
Are there any files I can add into the SD card that will let me boot the Vista DVD i.e. any USB Drivers that will let me load the DVD Drive and the DVD in DOS, Command Propmt etc etc? And the commands to load the DVD?
I tried everything such as R:/setup.exe but it comes up as this is not supported in DOS.
Thanks.
r u upgrading from xp ?
do not upgrade to Vista, well at least not now. do u have a dedicated graphics card, if u dont, u will be dissapointed in that none of the cool vista graphics efects, like areo glass will work, and Media center will not work either. If u dont have a dedicated graphics card, or at least 1 gb. or ram , and at least a HT Pentium 4, ur computer is obsolete
But 4 ur question the easiest way would be a external dvd drive.
